gushing

I wanted to comment - as it would be rude not to, seeing as how I've just "Friended" you - that it is wonderful to find that the Wild Cards authors have livejournals: you ladies and gentlemen were rock stars to me in my youth, and I often compared your mosaic novels to two-LP psychedelic albums: especially with those beautiful Bantam Spectra covers, and the idea of the artists jamming out chords (in, of course, the form of words, ideas and plot twists).

Re: gushing

Always great to hear from a fan who remembers the days when there were "LPs." Now, what sf author caught the notion that that technology would go the way of the dodo faster than, well, the dodo? No one, that I'm aware of.

Seriously, though, glad to hear from you and I hope you'll enjoy our current effort. Any concerns, questions, comments, you know where to find me. I'm not going very far because I'm still shaking off the effects of my annual winter bout with the flu that had me huddled in bed too stupid to read almost all week. On the plus side, when I was finally able to react to my surroundings again, I realized that spring is here. We'll probably get one more snort of winter, but by and large it's time again for the boysof summer to wander onto the stage.

With a new Department: My recommendation of the month: SKULDUGGERY PLEASANT by Derek Landy, which, finally, I became smart enough to read yesterday. Good unpretentious fun, with world-building that is more promising than concrete, but there is alot of room for this series to grow.
